Hi friends~
Five years ago I started writing this newsletter partly as a personal challenge to build a habit, and also to hone a skill which some people have told me I was pretty good at (mainly my teachers in high school!). My aim is to share the real life of a mom of 6 married kids, 15 grandkids, an athlete, artist, strength coach, gardener … evolving as a woman, and a human, like we all are.
Thoughtbox was born here on my coaching website, then it made its way its way over to Substack . I hope you’ll subscribe to one or both. I love writing for the mental exercise, but most of all it’s so rewarding to know your thoughts.
These last few weeks of summer are precious every year.
Each day is is worth every second of being present…so the newsletter will be on hiatus for the next couple of weeks while we spend time with kids and grandkids.
This week we’re with kids and grandkids here at home in NJ, playing on the beach and taking outings.
Next week we’ll be in NH helping with grandkids as our daughter-in-law, Carleigh Beriont focuses all of her energy on the last three weeks of her Congressional campaign.
We need Carleigh Beriont in Congress to represent us all.
I’ve known Carleigh since she was a little girl. She met my son Eric in high school, and they became inseparable. I watched and was amazed as she finished college at Mt Holyoke in three years, then completed her grad studies and PhD at Harvard. During her time teaching in The Marshall Islands (one year alone and two years with my son), I became convinced that she’s the most dedicated person I’ve ever known. Campaigns are incredibly costly, and funds are critical tor mailers in these last days before the primary on September 8th.
Carleigh wins hands down when people meet her and get to know her. This poll is a perfect example at a recent event she won by a mile!
There is no other candidate with her listening superpower, and the ability to connect with everyone, including those who might surprise a candidate in these contentious, polarized times.
